We are very sad to announce the loss of Gerard Brophy, a local solicitor and a founding member of Concerned Communities of Falkirk (CcoF), who passed away on Thursday 29th May at Strathcarron Hospice.
We wish to commend his courage and efforts in raising awareness of our communities' concerns relating to the extraction of unconventional gas in Scotland. His legal input (gratis) and commitment to the campaign to protect Scottish communities, given his own personal family and work commitments, has been exemplary. CCoF would like to extend our sincere sympathies to his wife Carol, family, friends and colleagues. We hope Gerard is now at peace and that Falkirk Communities will be blessed by all his endeavours.
His funeral will be held at Falkirk Crematorium today, Monday the 9th of June, at 1:30pm.
Gerard was a good friend to us all and he will be sadly missed.
