All parties in Dart Energy public inquiry agree to submit written evidence on NPF3 and the revised SPP

Falkirk, July 1st 2014.

All parties in the Dart Energy public local inquiry, including Concerned Communities of Falkirk, today agreed to submit written evidence only on Scotland's third National Planning Framework (NPF3) and the revised Scottish Planning Policy (2014), which were both published by the Scottish Government on June 23 2014. Further inquiry sessions had been provisionally agreed for August 2014 but on reading the documents all parties agreed that re-opening the inquiry was unnecessary.

Reporters for the Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals have asked the Appellant, Dart Energy, to submit their comments on the NPF3 and amended SPP by July 15th, to be followed by all other parties by July 29th, with Dart then given a chance to respond to the other parties' submissions by August 5th. The Reporters will then consider all the evidence and come to a decision on Dart Energy's planning appeals.
